It's just really too small for me to feel comfortable in. Personally, it's not high on my list of cars I'd want to rent again. I think we've averaged about 27.7 with mixed driving. The 2015 Buick Enclave transmission problems The 2015 Buick Enclave has less-than-average reliability The most common problems with the 2015 Buick Enclave include recalls for front airbag inflator issues, unsecured side curtain airbags, and tire tread cracking. I had to leave the drivers seat uncomfortably more forward than I'd like in order not to strain the motors when adjusting the seats. Another real issue - once you put those rears seats down, you definitely loose travel range for the front seats. The best way to determine if there’s a lack of fuel is to test the fuel pressure at the rails. When either of these goes bad, there is insufficient fuel pressure at the fuel rails. The seat bottoms have to flip forward first, and I was having a lot of trouble trying to figure out how to get that to work. Outside of bad fuel injectors, a bad fuel pump or fuel filter can also cause a jerk while accelerating. I did find the process of folding the seats flat to be a little unintuitive. Buick Engine Repair Cost Avoid The Buick Enclave and Encore. We loaded the back up one day, and managed to keep putting more items in and still making them fit. Other problems include power steering failure and transmission slipping. However, I did find that once you put the seats down, there's actually a lot more storage space in there than I would have expected. And you're not going to fit a huge amount of stuff back there with the compartment top in place (It's pretty easily popped off if you need to). The trunk area of the car does indeed look pretty small. If you're used to the gm system, it's not too bad trying to find your way around. The little flip-up armrest on the drivers seat feels pretty flimsy, and really doesn't offer adequate arm-support.Ĭenter stack controls were pretty standard for the non-touch screen version of the infotainment system. Stay Up to Date Get notified about new defects, investigations, recalls & lawsuits for the 2015 Encore: Compare Buick Encore Model Years Curious how the 2015 Encore compares to other. I found the seating to be relatively comfortable (at least for the front seats, I don't tend to sit in the back, and I'm not entirely sure I'd want to try to force myself back there given the way the leg room looks). If it actually has any effect, I'd hate to hear what it sounds like without it. Interestingly, supposedly these Encore's have an active noise cancelling system that's supposed to help suppress engine noise. Acceleration is lacking, and when you put your noise down, it's going to be noisy. Second, the engine in this car is just completely inadequate to the job. The inside is pretty tight and cramped for a larger person, and I find I pretty much rest up against the outer B pillar the whole time, which I don't find very comfortable. Engine, Transmission, Check Engine Light, Overheating, Power Steering, Electrical System, Failure Of The Backup Camera. Personally, I'm finding that the car has two major downsides to it. All in all, way to costly for the stress and irritation it's caused. With the lack of interesting choices last time I picked up a car, ended up going with this 2015 Buick Encore Convenience group edition. It's a neat and cute cat, I'll say that, but the rack on top is basically useless as you can't actually attach anything up there, the cubby under the radio is too shallow for a phone to sit in, and not big enough for anything else, honestly, the space under that isn't really big enough for anything either, and the storage area in between the seats has a cute little slide-close cover but it's also not big enough for much of anything, the extra glove box is literally only big enough for gloves or wipes or something, the passenger seat is not all that adjustable like the driver seat, the Bluetooth doesn't automatically connect to your device, and there's something up with the locks acting up that I haven't diagnosed yet. ![]() All the things have ran together in my head because they all severely irritated me since they were so close in occurrence, had similar symptoms, and cost a pretty ugly penny for such a newly released car (at the time) and it's looking like one of the previous mentioned issues is beginning to arise again currently. Turbocharger need replaced, oxygen sensor needed replaced, some valve thing needed replaced, etc. Each problem was major and they lined up so that as soon as one was fixed, something else would go wrong. And that's aside from regular service costs. Within less than 2 years I had spent at least $4000 additional on replacing parts or on other issues that required immediate attention and by Buick specific dealerships. I like this car and got it used but at a lower mileage in 2019.
